Things to do in Manhattan Beach!

Manhattan Beach is a nice strip of property south of Venice Beach, just south of LAX International Airport. There is a nice boardwalk with specatcular beach front homes along the boardwalk. There is also the bike path below the boardwalk and closer to the beach that goes south/north along the beach as far as you like. There are no dogs allowed on the beach, however dogs are allowed on the boardwalk.

Hyland Ave. off Rosecrans is the strip with the night scene in Manahattan Beach. The strip is lined with bars, Yoga studios, breakfast and lunch cafes, and a few Mexican joints. The original El Tarasco is located here off Hyland anr Rosecrans. They have great tasting mexican for cheap and open late. Heading further south on Hyland past a few residential blocks you will find the main strip leading up to Manhattan Beach pier.

Manhattan Beach has a great swell. The waves seem to hit perfect in this area of southern California. Sometimes you’ll go out there and see hundreds of surfers in wetsuits. This is a year round phenomena the surfers don’t seem to be bothered by cold weather at all. This is a great beach for surfing, volleyball, enjoying the sun and relaxing with friends.
